Re: ansa vs abarth exhaust
Nothing to be embarrassed about for being true enthusiast and maintaining your pride and joy properly with costs given secondary consideration. I hear you about the remanufacturing, but having myself been involved in numerous such endeavors for variety of vintage car parts and components over the ye...

Re: ansa vs abarth exhaust
... Timo like to go on disparaging stainless steel systems... LOL. So, I've been outed for one of my pet peeves again. It's just that sometimes I wish offer other view points on these rather anonymous on-line "discussions" to current and future readers, so that they can perhaps make decisions based...

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but have you consulted your owners and/or service manuals for purpose (or location and perhaps originality) of these switches in question ?

Re: Cam Cover Nuts
Hi All, http://www.tomyang.net/cars/nut7.jpg I would be curious if the judges notice the differences when looking at these cars... Some do, some don't..., but most cars on many events seem to have too many, much more important things wrong with them anyway, so minute details like this or tool rolls...

Re: Fuse panel clean up
Forgot to mention that within last few years I have researched and compiled my own fairly accurate and complete variation of U.S.-spec diagram which I might make available (for a fee) in the near future if any one is interested. I'm also researching and confirming details for Euro-spec diagram, but ...

Re: Fuse panel clean up
It's difficult to imagine they would leave a hot wire with a ring terminal floating ... From what I've seen, this would be one of the least mind boggling surprises found in assembly or manufacturing methods of vintage Ferraris. Of 10+ Daytonas I've worked on almost all have had similar wiring issue...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
Timo: Emission equipment is long gone. Thanks to everybody for their thoughts. I will keep searching to a solution. Another question, Mr. R. You stated not having much experience with Euro spec examples, but have you personally had a chance to drive/observe this with other U.S. spec Daytonas for co...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
i think the key to solving this is the fact that it only happens on an incline. since it happens only when under extra acceleration load(as opposed to level acceleration), double check the components that come into play under the extra load. can you duplicate the stumble on a level road when starti...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
i doubt this is fuel related as im running the same crappy gas here in the peoples republic of california. and old gas at that. ed + 1, although I have experienced "bad" gasoline related issues (only) once or twice in past 30+ years, but nothing consistent. Once even on across country drive soon af...

Re: original fuel hose ferrules
Timo, here's my opinion, I'm nearly certain that I could do a set of ferrules in 1/2 the time spent the first time, and if I made a holding cup and did it under a hand press I could probably do one set in half an hour. It probably makes no sense to go through this hassle unless you are obsessed wit...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
Timo: You are correct, only below 1,000 rpm under a load of starting uphill. I am sure it also does it on level ground, but the effect is negligible. Throttle shafts have never been out of the carbs, and synchronization is on the money. I have always been paranoid about clutch slippage, and try to ...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
Mr R., This has been occupying good part of my quite limited brain capacity for several days now without providing any real answers, but after re-reading your initial post wanted to clarify something. Am I to understand correctly that this "problem" occurs ONLY when attempting "take off" (uphill) at...

Re: original fuel hose ferrules
Tom, Would you care to estimate the total amount of time, including R & D of the pins, this little project took ? Oh I don't know..maybe an hour to do the experiment with an old socket wrench, then another hour or so to make the pins, then another 1.5 to do the actual expansion on 12 ferrules, then...
