Re: Bumper insulators
I guess the wicker covering the sides of the car should have been a hint. I am at the point to fill in the holes so I just wanted to be 100% that I am doing the right thing. I have another thing I wanted to bring up but I may be opening a big can of worms. What color to paint the car , it was Marron...

Re: Bumper insulators
Thank you for the bolt and washer sizes, I didn't even realize there was a suppose to be a sleeve in there. Yes I have the Petoske car and I did not get the original engine . I did speak to the lady that has my engine in her car, so it still exists . I do have a correct engine to put in it that is a...

Re: Bumper insulators
Thanks for the input, if I could get the bolt and washer sizes that would be very helpful. My car is 5393 and we are in the paint prepping stages. I have another mystery , in an old picture of my car it has a Ferrari shield and America emblems mounted next to the left side tail light . The holes loo...

Bumper insulators
I purchased insulators for the bumpers on my 1964 330gt and I am not sure if this is the correct one. The one on the right is the new one and on the left is one that came with the bumper. I purchased the car with the bumpers off and this rubber was being kept in place by the bolt that went through i...

Re: 330 GT air baffles
I have seen those baffles on a series one car before. They look easy to reproduce.

Block repair
When I purchased my car a engine block was negotiated in with the price. It is a 330GT series 2 block but the rear corner is broken off and missing , it is the side opposite of the starter . I was wondering if someone had a block that was unserviceable I could use for parts. I found someone that can...

Re: 250GTE Rear Springs and Shocks
When I was visiting Norbert at Grand Touring Classics I asked him those same questions, he told me he has powder coated rear springs with good results. I also ask the guy that does my power coating and he agrees that there shouldn't be any problems . I have had several coil springs done with no affe...

Re: New Project
Do you think the rear bumper tubes might support it if you insert tubes 3 ft or longer into the existing tubes with the bumper off. I would make it fit as tight as possible. Then make a mounting plate attached to those tubes. Then maybe make a mounting plate in the front where the steering box and s...

Re: New Project
Has anybody put a 330gt on a rotisserie . I searched for pictures of a car set up on one but they look quite elaborate. Can one be made easily or rented. My trip to LA was awesome ! Tom S was great to meet for information and parts, he gave me a fantastic tour of his shop. He also gave me some lots ...

Re: New Project
Looks like I will be at coffee and cars in irvine. Will meet up with Tom a little after that.
Hopefully I will check out a dealer or two that has a 330 for sale.
It would be nice to see a fully assemble 330 gt after starring at mine for so long disassembled.

New Project
Hi Tom and members of this forum, I thought I would introduce myself and give an update on The Wicker Ferrari (5393). My name is Rob and I own 2 auto repair shops in Hamilton Ontario Canada. If you look closely at the front fender in front of where the wheel would be faint traces of the wicker stains...
