Re: Horn Detailing

Tom, I'm just curious how the detailing of 3553 is happening. Do you contact the owner when you find something amiss and then discuss what you could do to fix it, and costs, etc.? Must be adding up now ... Best Pete Hi Pete, Yes, I'm in constant contact with the owner. E-mail and digital pictures a...

I also love lathes

Hopefully my next purchase for my shed will be a little (for metal) lathe ... wonderful things to use.

Enjoy playing :-)

Funny how lust for cars is 90% visual, and as you say Tom your 2+2 has grown on you and mechanically is just as good if not better. But the good looking girls still get all the attention ... Also interesting that we are including Bugattis in this discussion because unfortunately many of those are no...

The other thing we have to be really honest about is most of us (myself included) would NOT buy a 250GTE 2+2 if we had enough money to buy say a Lusso, thus the only reason we buy them (or in my case still dream of buying one) is because it is all we can afford. Thus they really are unloved :-(. Thu...

He feels that people don't buy these cars because they never want to spend the money he pays to part them out. This is the quote of Tom S's, and I have to agree with Tom S. Take this car, everybody on this site is constantly telling the owner that it just an old Ferrari and not special, etc. and in...

I have to agree with Kare, and this is the problem with these cars. Everybody is so busy trying to get the ultimate barn find that Tom S (or the replica) crowd come in and grab the car for a more reasonable price ... thus another GTE (and in this case an interesting one due to longer wheel base; yes...

Without the crease sure looks better, and yes I think we have a change during the life cycle of the Lusso.

Man this will cause massive arguments with Judges :)

Ferrari Boano overheating

I'm surprised a Ferrari of this vintage (when they actually were raced by some owners) would overheat on a race track ... interesting. I've also tried the electric fan in the past and I believe on the track that they do not help, infact I wonder if they actually impede air flow. Maybe the old radiat...
