Driving the White Car
Today I made my first big solo drive in 4247 GT. As many of you know, I purchased the derelict car in 2002, futzed with it for 12 years or so, drove it about 2 miles in Monterey in 2015 with a borrowed engine (thanks Scot!), around Palm Beach in January and on a shakedown drive with Tom Y a month or...

Wire Wheel Maintenance
While trying to eliminate a front wheel squeak that reappeared after two weeks of trucking across the country, the wheel guy found two two spokes were loose, causing the wheel to be out of true. We fixed this, which did not fix the squeak, but that will be another post when we do identify the proble...

GTE Engine Rebuild
In your photos I see the fan clutch assembly which is cracked as so many seem to be. Do you know anybody who is rebuilding these? I was lucky enough to find a usable original one (and then switch to an electric fan), but a lot of GTE owners need these and we are running out of used ones.

Green Berlinetta Boxer
Tom - Post some more photos of this car! I have never seen one in this color and am intrigued. As you know, my first awareness of the Ferrari brand was with the Dino. However, it really hit when Road and Track had that bright Yellow BB on the cover. I was really taken by that car. Of course, reality...

Re: Personal Thanks
Thanks Clint! It has been a wild ride and it feels great to be this close to finishing the restoration and starting the next chapter where I get to drive it. There will be an update my crazy restoration in the next GTE Newsletter, by the way...

Re: GTE Seat Covers
Yes, I agree, patina adds to the charm. The idea would to only use it on summer days where it regularly gets over 100 degrees here.

GTE Seat Covers
As 4247 GT will be coming home to California mid-summer, I would like to get covers for the front seats. With our high temperatures and no air conditioning, sweat is going to be a problem. Has anybody found good ones?

Re: Personal Thanks
When I first found my car in 2000, Tom was one of the first people I contacted. I searched online and his was the only name that came up! The site was primitive by today's standards, but hosted a great group of people who were determined to save the GTE. Today 4247 GT is in the final stages of its r...

Re: GTE water temp switch
I bought a used one from GTO Engineering and at the time they had 2 or 3 more. I did this because I was unable to find anyone who could rebuild mine.

GTE from Charlotte NC
Many years ago we were searching for this car that was spotted in North Carolina. It just popped up at Gullwing Motorcars and is 2325 GT, the Maranello Concessionaire's road tester. Anybody up for a project?

I am not going to have the car judged.
