Re: Headgasket

Call Dave Helms at Scuderia Ramparte He has the gaskets that will work. Tom Tom, how much personal experience or more specifically, useful comparison data you have with these "new" gaskets ? With useful I mean by after assembling an engine using some other brand HG and find them "leaking", then wit...

I have bought some things before from Guido and i have had no issues.

I did not mean to imply anything else but the correct parts were not available.
Thank you for clarifying.

Re: 330 GTC Sunvisor tips

May I offer my humble opinion or two, not based on direct observations of GTC visor arm tips, but as someone with 35+ years of nearly full time involvement in vintage car passion, preservation and restorations. First, the two photos of visors with black rubber tips provided so ar in this thread show...

Re: 365 GT 2+2 overheat fuse melt problem

EDITED REPOST: Usually these types of problems are very difficult if not impossible to advise on or help solve remotely (via i-net), but here's another thing to consider: Were any or all of these symptoms known to be present before fusebox rebuilding, immediately after or have they developed just re...

Re: 365 GT 2+2 overheat fuse melt problem

Couple of suggestions: First, when attempting to diagnose & correct any automotive, especially electrical problems involving multiple components as potential culprit, DO NOT just replace (or rebuild) any parts until absolutely sure they're broken (or malfunctioning) and more importantly, DO NOT repl...

Re: 330 GTC Cooling/Fans

Ed, what I meant about fan blades is that are they installed facing correctly to provide proper airflow direction (=efficiency) ? I've seen more than one Daytona with blades installed on the motor shafts facing backwards, some even with evidence suggesting such installations having been done at the ...

Re: 330 GTC Rad Core - Factory Correct?

If authentic accuracy (for judging) is a concern, you might want to keep in mind that the straight fin cores commonly available in the US are noticebly different designs than those produced by FIM (O.E.M. manufacturer). This of course would become issue only if the judge(s) at given venue would know...

Re: 330 GTC Cooling/Fans

My customer has this 330 GTC and has air conditioning factory installed. we recently had the motor gone thru, recored the radiator, replaced one of the 2 fans for running slow etc.... a lot of work....so far I'm getting the indication that the cooling fan is not doing enough to keep the water cool....

Re: Undercoating

Having experienced or experimented with most types of undercoatings available in EU or US in past 35+ years, all I can say is that results, including texture, can vary significantly depending on application methods (aerosol, compressed air, spreading with brush/spatula or combination of some sort), ...

Re: Daytona Shock Removal and Rebuild

All look to be "not right", some just more than others, but why is difficult to determine with given pictures.
Other parts incorrectly assembled, perhaps ?
Only one way to find out (and fix correctly), remove and disassemble all.

Re: Anybody seen or used the repro stainless bumpers?

Corneils, I've always admired you and any one who uses their vintage cars for a lot more than just occasional club, concourse or show appearances. I used to have nothing but vintage cars/trucks as daily drivers until I was in my thirties, but due to ever increasing need of reliable, spacious and str...

Re: Anybody seen or used the repro stainless bumpers?

Another thing to keep in mind is that polished stainless steel itself, both as material and refinish, usually has quite different appearance than chrome plating, especailly if both are placed sectionally right next to each other. The diference is usually enough that any experienced viewer (or concou...
