Overdrive not functioning

I took the car for a drive this afternoon and got on the highway to air it out a little. I went through the gears and when in fourth pushed the clutch down and then pushed the overdrive lever forward. When the clutch was released, I was still in fourth. Prior to this I have had no problems with the ...

I don't know about that. The parking lot is almost as amazing as the show area but we drove up in a rented Prius and when the car was returned the attendant told us he thought it was a really cool car. Sometimes being at the other end works.

I think that this needs a rating of PG otherwise guess what the kids will want for Christmas.

Seriously, what a great realization. The entire family was in awe when I showed it this morning.

Thanks Vince.

License Plate Surround

Tom W:

Paul Baber did get back to me. He said he had European style surrounds but did not quote a price. I emailed back saying that I was only interested in a US version. He said he would keep his eyes open.

Reasonable response and timely.

Thanks guys. I have been in touch with Paul Baber and will contact PartSource when I return. Hopefully I will have a proper plate surround soon.

Again, thanks.

250 GTE trunk license plate holder

Ever since I saw the proper trunk license plate holder for the 250 GTE, mine has looked like a sore thumb. I am looking for the proper plate holder with the backing plate. Does any one have one or know where they can be gotten. Kerry has looked in the parts manual and says the part number is 239.74....

finally home

This is great, Art. Maybe I can make four people happy if I can get a flight back from Paris on the 27th instead of the 28th. If I can, then I will drive to Connecticut with Kerry and pick up the Ferrari and show up at the TY East party. That will get Yale out of it, you won't have to make a detour,...

Center Dashboard Air Vent flow in a Series 3 or 330 America

Does any one have a drawing or diagram or good description of how the vent in the middle of the dashboard gets its outside air? The vent appears to be open but there is no air coming out and I don't know where to look to see if the hose is unhooked or something else is blocking the flow. I know it's...

No, the original was like 3218E or 3228E - Saddle and I chose 3997E Magnolia (where do they get these names from) a more yellow hue than the Ivory you mention.

interior

William: I had the interior done by Automotive Restorations in Stratford Connecticut. The leather came from GAHH - http://www.gahh.com/ in California. I chose the color from their sample chart (I actually bought the book of samples that they sell - Francois has it now). I was looking to match the co...

Rudy: As my friend Peter reminds me all the time "owning this car is a journey". Part of the journey is finding the car, part is deciding what you want to do with it and part (a very large part) is the community that comes with the common interest. Sure I was disappointed that the profile wasn't rig...
