Is the car still on ebay? I viewed the auction last night can't find it today?
I dont know but have heard as much as 30K to 40K for the engine I don't know this for sure...

Thanks Eddie, My wife likes cars and drives an Audi TT. She was great through the 6 year restoration on my Avanti. The cool thing is we go to US Grand Prix every year and last year she bought a Ferrari hat, so I think she would like to see me get the car.

Eddie, Thanks for the advise. My wife and I are talking about a trip to see the car and spend some time with my friend...... We had a long discussion about the car last night. I think your right if I dont go for it I will always regret it.

Luke,

I would like to keep the car. However due to the new home I just want to know the real market value. I don't want to end up having to sell it and lose money. But I understand there's always a risk with cars.
