Oil Vent tubes

It seems a common attribute of 330's, and I guess 275's & 250's too, is somewhere along the line the oil vent tubes are lost ,deteriorate, forgotten, or just plain left off the cars. I am trying to replace them on my car and am interested in other's experiences. I gather the ribbed tubes that came wi...

Funny how Sheehan is selling this car, it doesn't seem like his normal modus operandi, which is selling cars that are seemingly in great shape or at least rare-er then the GTE's....Maybe he will sell anything in the 250 Series. Maybe he is thinking it will sell quicker if it's cheaper, or he is pric...

Nice catch....well done article. It was great to read a story that does not portray Ferrari owners as elitist snobs, but down-to-earth individuals with passion who have pursed their dreams in a practical fashion. But, it also hurts because now our secret is out!

David, I had a proper PPI done before buying the car, in fact my mechanic, who is very well respected did it. We agreed it was a "driver", not a showpiece, but we did not forsee the extent to which others had neglected the "litte things." Fortunately, the engine and drive train are in great conditio...

Care and Feeding of vintage autos

I was hoping to have my car back this weekend to inaugurate Spring, but now I am learning first hand the vicisstudes of owning a vintage car. I had mentioned to John that my windows should be looked at over the winter as they went up/down very slowly. I was suspicious that new felt channels or perha...

I know it changed hands once before for over $100,000.
Would that be enough? I'm not convinced.
What would I replace it with?

A couple of boxers? ;)

Addendum; You can see the 40+% retail price jump in these cars over the last 3-5 years.

Yes. I think so. I do not follow #s movements, but looking at it's history on Kerry's site Fantasy shows up just before Heritage. It is a nice color combination. I join others in thinking a darker color looks goood on these cars. If I own mine long enough it wil morph from red/tan (product of late 8...

330 2+2 for sale

Serial # 9533 1967 330 2+2 for sale @ Heritage Classics. Looks in better shape, though maybe not as original, as car at Symbolic Motors.

That's a very cogent point Tom. I would also submit that with the pressure society is putting on us to accumulate as many "toys" as possible, we practical Ferrari owners realize that at least one car on the tour must be able to carry them.

Last month I went down to a classic car dealership in Connecticut to take pictures of the reversing lights under the rear bumper of a series II car the company was restoring and had for sale. When I arrived the car was in boxes and the body prepped for painting. The fellow commented that the car and...

Hi Tom, I too have been keeping bills and miscellaneous information in a box (should move to folders but too lazy), although I must admit I have not, and will not, go back and keep a running total of expenses. Frankly, I do it as a courtesy for the next owner because I feel it is part of the mystiqu...
