The shields that mount to each of the four mufflers on a 365 GT 2+2 are quite similar in shape to Kerry's, and the pictures in the parts book show the shape plus the pattern of the strength beading. I made a pattern from heavy paper and a shop made them up for me from .060 aluminum. I used a method ...

Thanks Tom and Kerry. I have the reprinted Apen/Roush book, the owner's manual, and both the early and late parts manuals for the car -- plus the Simpson book, the Pininfarina body parts book and the Wallace translation of the 330 repair manual. What I want to find, and have struck out so far, is a ...

365 GT 2+2 manual
Does anyone know if a factory service manual exists for the 365 GT 2+2, or an engine only manual for the Type 245 engine?

Failed head stud threads in block
My block needed a repair which required pulling all of the head studs. Some came out so hard that the threads in the block were damaged. We used helicoils and that solved the issue with most of the locations. BUT, one failed the helicoil - pulled it right out of the block at about 65 pounds torque. ...

I have a 365 GT 2+2 #12451 which has a power sunroof that I believe is a Webasto brand. Mine is a US production vehicle ordered by Modern Classic Motors. Gerald Roush knows of two other 365GT 2+2's with roofs, #11607 and #11745 - both originally Italian market cars. Does anyone have a contact for th...

And the worst possible thing for an English overdrive is for it to slip. The friction material is quite narrow, and it will NOT take much slippage without burning it. I used a Laycock overdrive in a rally car, switched to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. It lived a long time because I raised the engagement pressu...

Just had my A/C redone on a 365 GT 2+2. The cloth covered hose was available. I used a 10 cubic inch compressor without the overpressure control - gives better cooling, but not perfect appearance without the control box on the side -- and should not be used at sustained high rpms. Cooling is excelle...

First 500 miles in my 365 GT 2+2
I finally got my 365 that I bought last December out of the shop last Saturday and put 500 miles on it during the week. I got it back to the shop on Friday, just before our wonderful snow started. It still has a bunch of stuff to be done before FCA2005 in Indy (a common story with a "new" Ferrari ne...

I would investigate the BMW M5 or M6 from the 1980's with 3.4-3.6 liter DOHC 6 cylinder engines of 300+ hp (about 100 more hp than the standard versions). The slide valve air intake system is a thing of beauty, quite similar to race cars of that era. These are FAST, reliable, quiet, modern, stealthy...

Translation of technical terms
I saw, some time ago, a list of technical terms translated from Italian to English. Like a dummy  I did not note the URL. Now, of course, I need this. Can anyone enlighten me on where I saw this?
