Any info on 365 GT 2+2 at Motorcar Gallery?

Another point on the Harrah 365 #12333 at Heritage at $68,500. This exact same car was offered by Grand Prix Classics in early May at $49,000. At that price, I would have purchased it right away. You would have financial room to do a full strip to metal repaint, improve the air, maybe do synchros in...

Any info on 365 GT 2+2 at Motorcar Gallery?

I saw, but did not examine the GTE. 365 #12333, the 1969 Road and Track test car, ex-Harrah looks good at 25 feet. It also DRIVES very well with zero smoke and a very responsive engine. I got just a bit of synchro crunch if shifted fast. Everything seemed to work, though the A/C needed charging. The...

Any info on 365GT 2+2 at Motorcar Gallery?

This 365 GT 2+2, #12789, has been for sale there for some time. Has anyone seen it, or know something about it?

I am still looking for one, and I passed on the two at Heritage.

Regards,

Jim Walker

Steering Box Overhaul

I worked with manual steering boxes in 122S Volvos in rallying, similar to fest's illustrations. I would echo Kerry's caution about not overtightening at dead center. I did that once and road shock actually bent the upper forging cap under the adjustment screw .. upward into a concave cup. I heard a...

PPI mechanic, Alabama or Southern CA

I am looking at two 365 GT 2+2 's, one in Birmingham, Alabama and the other in Southern California. Does anyone have a recommendation for a qualified PPI inspector in either area? I would want both a good body inspection and a mechanical inspection, including compression and leakdown tests. I would ...

Aviation Fuel

Does anyone have any experience using racing gas? One Ferrari expert in Michigan (Terry Myr) likes both the high octane and the aspect that it evaporates during storage leaving only the color dyes - and little or no gummy residue. He recommends using partial tanks of this gas during the driving seas...

Does anybody know one of these specific 365's for sale?

I want to find a 365 GT 2+2 to buy and drive. My background includes experience in SCCA Pro Rally (1974 2nd Driver, 1975 4th Driver) and I ran a two car Fiat factory team of 131 Abarths (duplicates of 1978 World Rally Championship cars) in 1979. I rebuilt the engine on my car and replaced a body-in-...

Looking for 365 GT 2+2

I found this forum after sending some MSRP data on 365's to the folks who monitor the MSRP list. Kudos to Tom Yang for a really great way to share info and ideas. I came into an inheritance recently that will allow me to fulfill a lifelong desire to own and drive a classic Ferrari V12. For many reas...
