Today I pulled the condenser. when they re-enginered the AC , and moved it to the front, it made is possible to easily remove the condenser just by pulling the grill. check out the pics. after removing 4 small sheet metal screws that held the condenser to the brackets, i just angled the assemble out...

the plug looks identical to the outlet on my 190 SL; also used for emergency light- except outlet is in the engine bay. must have been a common item then.

Today I fixed my leaky pinion seal. After removing the driveshaft and having it balanced, I pulled the u joint. Used an impact hammer to remove the nut and washer and a gear puller removed the flange easily. The books stated it was a 42x72x10 seal, but mine was a 44x60x10. Tom had wisely recommended...

Zanny looking at the set up , and whats already welded and what is bolted and clamped, you are correct- the front "double muffler" section would be easy to remove, and replace with straight thru pipes. I am loving my new 330. but I would like to get a little more noise out the exhaust. Has anyone experimented with the Ansa exhaust in terms or removing front or rear sections and replacing with straight pipes just to get a bit more music?
