Your ISP usually provides a certain amount of disk space so you can create a website, and this is where you upload your pictures. Once there, you direct a link in your mess...

Thanks Guys! I think the one thing I've learned is "being nice," goes a long way. I don't consider myself "pushy," and it is probably what these mechanics hate. I'll try to get a copy of the article posted for those who missed it. I'm sure glad I didn't come off as an idiot! ( I say this because I w...

Hi All,
The "Escapes" Section (3/5) has an article on Classic Car Mechanics, and I got a mention in the article! There's also a picture of Francois.

Remmeber that if you end up with a drip or run, it can be sanded smooth with 1000 grit sandpaper when it dries, and buffed out. If there are any cracks in the wood, now is the time to fix them before the varnish. I watered down carpenter's glue and forced it into the cracks before firmly clamping th...

All the complaints I get on this forum are from AOL users. The software designers that wrote this program are aware of the problem, but feel that there would be a security risk from hackers if changes were made to allow AOL users to access forums like this one. I know there are a lot of AOL users, b...

Hi Matt, DOT 5 is Silicone brake fluid, and is very different from DOT 3 or 4. DOT 5 is safer for paint, and supposedly won't absorb water, but can be harder to bleed the air out of a system, and is slightly compressible (perhaps because small bubbles stay in suspension). Installing DOT 5 in a syste...

Hi Steve, I think you're making the right decision in driving the car for the summer and fall before embarking on any major work. You'll enjoy the car on the road, and get to know her before tearing into the body and interior. What color blue was the interior? Was it a light blue like http://www.tom...
