Re: 330 America (#5061) 99% Finished
A beautiful restoration! Well done. Even in this market, you might be able to be made whole if you find the right buyer - I think the key is to find someone who absolutely wants a 330 America. My sense is you're probably looking to get $300K plus, so now your car is now at the bottom of the "Mid-ran...

NextEngine 3D scanner
I was perusing Jay Leno's site and discovered a video showing a $3000 3-d scanner from a company called NextEngine. Wow- way cool! I had no idea that this technology was so inexpensive already - I've paid more for old parts! Leno's crew demonstrated a complete plastic copy of an adjustable wrench, a...

Re: 330 GTC '68 S/N 11269 offered
Fantastic car! These are the best riding cars Ferrari ever made, IMHO. Just as an aside, in my mind it's hard to believe the cable clutch is an improvement over the hydraulic system of the earlier cars. It certainly is a "Minus" on the 365 GTC. Not really sure why they did this, except for cost cutt...

Re: heater help
Sounds like rotted vent hoses to me. If you have the same brain-dead design that I have on my 330 GTS, then all you need to do is to remove the fender guard, and replace the 4" hose. A word of advice, based on my experience with my heater boxes - when you are in there, resist the temptation to take ...

Re: Help! Should the seller fix these things?
As they say, "Buyer Beware". It's entirely possible that you can still unwind the deal, as you apparently didn't take delivery of the vehicle at the dealership. I only know California law, which is quite specific. A "sale" only takes place if the buyer shows up on the lot, takes possession of the ca...

Re: Common Oil Leaks?
Just as a reference point, I have yet to own a Ferrari that does not leak. My lusso leaked a little under the transmission and rear diff. A drip here and there is unavoidable, IMHO. However, If we're taking about several ounces of fluid a week leaking out - ok, then something is probably wrong. Othe...

300+ ft lbs is a pretty ridiculous torque setting - I think you are probably safe with anything remotely resembling "Fully Tight", and leave it at that. I used to use a 5 lb dead blow hammer with nylon faces. I would tighten the knock-off as much as possible, but it would always loosen. The next ti...

330 GTC/S bonnet realease
Apologies if this has been posted before, but I am not getting any love from the search function. The front bonnet release cable snapped on my 330 GTS, and I figured I'd post here before fumbling about under the car to get at the latch release. I don't see any secondary wires coming through the fire...

I'd second a few well placed whacks with a hammer. I've actually known it to work. Won't fix the problem long term, but if you can get it going again, you can disassemble the line at the fuel bowl, and use the limping pump to drain the tank. (I've never done it this way myself - I've generally sipho...
