I think the seller has himself an interesting problem. Though this telegram is neat to look at, it is only worth something to two people, the owners of 3835 and 3637. If Andrew does not want it, and the owner of 3637 doesn't want it, what is it worth? I also thought it was interesting that the teleg...

Andrew Brent - Telegram for You!

ferraristuff.com is currently selling a 1962 telegram from Chinetti Motors to Otto Zipper Motor Cars regarding 250 GTE's SN 3835 & 3637. I believe 3835 belongs to Andrew. Not much information, but a cool piece of history!

I will probably replace all of the hangers. Some of them have been replaced with plumbing materials and the others are fraying pretty badly. The metal, though rusted, cleans up pretty well. The rubber, however, is not long for this world. If I count correctly, I will need 24 to replace them all. And...

Exhaust Hangers

While trying to avoid larger projects, I took a look at my exhaust hangers this afternoon. The metal portions are in great shape, but the rubber section is shot. Does anybody know where to find the correct rubber or is it better to get the whole thing from PartSource?

A quick perusal of the owners gallery shows 42 owners, 12 of which have 250 GTE's, 10 of which have 330 GTE's and of course, Tom's America. Of these, I believe that mine is the only one not currently roadworthy (Now that Tom's is back on the road!) and I think the rest are driven fairly regularly. I...

Looks pretty good! It will be interesting to see what kind of information you get. One suggestion I have is to adjust the sort order of the "Browse the Register" page. Right now it sorts by the first digit of the cars Serial Number, regardless of how many digits it is. Therefore, SN 24825 comes befo...

Congratulations on a simple and quick solution to a very unfortunate problem. It is unfortunate that all your work linking the site to search engines and other sites has gone with the old address. However, as we speak, the faithful are spreading the word and the new address will soon become the norm...

In the section on colors, interiors etc, you may want to have two sections, one for the original state and one for the currents state. As for the date of manufacture, you may want to have a way to account for the fact that we may not know the exact day the car was built. We can estimate from the ser...

You shouldn't necessarily take the site's word that the sheets are not available. It said mine were not, so I emailed them asking if they did not have them or if they just were not available on the site. Two weeks later I got a reply, saying they had found them and they would be on the site soon. 6 ...

Transmission ID Number

Tom - Have you replaced the Transmission Tunnel yet? If not be sure to photograph the ID number on the top of the Transmission, which is stamped into the housing, just below the the shifter on the left side. It should be a one, two or three digit number over a two digit number, just like the differe...

I am attempting to get mine fixed, and think it will be. I just said that if it had to be replaced with a top mounted unit, I will know how to bend it!

Why did you replace yours with a top mounted arm instead of the lower version?

That makes perfect sense now. I took another look at my sender and as you said, it does pivot from the bottom. If it needs to be replaced instead of fixed, I will make the same bend.

Fuel Level Sender Unit

I need to repair my sender unit and wanted to know if Tom was happy with the John Wolf Company. Also, I am a little confused as to what happened to cause your sender to stick. The diagram posted on the site makes it very clear that the sender bar was hitting a baffle inside the tank, but wasn't that...

I guess I left out one detail on the console speakers. There are speaker grills on both sides of the console, but a speaker only on the left side. I assumed someone had removed the right side, but maybe the grill was there to allow air in to cool the radio. I will also have to check the back deck to...
