A new source for parts

Last week I posted photos of a set of horns that are for sale in Southern California. I spoke to the seller, Robin De Pry and he sent me the following, along with a lot of photos, some of which I will post here. I have not seen his inventory in person, but he has some interesting stuff! "Tom, I made...

Re: 250 GTE original type exhaust

So the 330 exhaust Tom posted on his latest blog does look similar to the one that was on my car. It does have the "cherry bombs" which indicates that was correct, at least for the later cars. I will have to check my car to see how far the skid plate goes, but it seems to me that it will cover up th...

Re: Speaking of expensive...

David Wheeler has reproduced them, for a very nominal fee. I recommend that we all get them and proudly display them on our GTEs!

Brake Boosters and Servofreno Stickers

In looking for a sticker for my Brake Booster, I found two types, one with a white "Bendix" and one with a red "Bendix". Killamanjaro Designs (Motion Products) sells the red one and GTO Engineering sells the white. I have mostly seen the red one, but the GTE Owners Manual (p70) shows the white. So i...

Re: 250 GTE original type exhaust

This weekend it was time to clear out the storage area at my house. In the process I was able to get at my exhaust system and take photos. I have a Stebro system on my car now, which is fine as it will always be behind the skid plate. This it the original system, which I am afraid is just scrap meta...

Re: GTE Manual. A New Full Colour Reprint

I received my copy this week and it is terrific. The quality of the printing and binding is excellent. This is what will be in my glove compartment and the original manual will stay on my shelf except for important occasions. It is unfortunate that it has come to this, but with the price of original...

Re: Tom's video debut...

I have enjoyed watching his other two video's where he goes through a car and talks about what is correct and what could be better. I found it very helpful in thinking about the future of my own car. Keep it up Tom, these are great!

Re: David Wheeler Book 250 GTE

David has done some outstanding research in this book and has straightened out some misunderstandings in the GTE world. The book is very well written and the photos are outstanding. Add it to your collection!

Re: Driving the White Car

Today's drive was a loop around the Palos Verdes peninsula, a beautiful drive along the cliffs overlooking the Santa Monica bay. It was a bit overcast, but at least today I did not have air conditioner envy! 408 2.jpg On the way down the 405 freeway I got surrounded by the South Bay Car club, a grou...
