Re: Stamping a Label
(Picture me blowing a whistle) Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! My actual problem is stamping a Parker Hall air cleaner label. I was just using the serial number plate as an example; my serial number plate is in perfect condition, thank you very much. I would rather send the plate and $50 or so to one of TY's...

Stamping a Label
Can anyone suggest a place to have a metal label stamped with the proper information? Parker Hall will sell you an air cleaner tag and even the little rivets that hold it in place but they do not have the type no. or replacement cartridge no. stamped on them. Another example is the serial number pla...

Re: Door Handles
Thanks for the response, Cory.
If you look at where my handle meets the door skin, about a third of the way from the left end of the door handle, you can see some of the gasket bulging out which is one of the symptoms of the problem. Your gasket seems to be nicely hidden underneath the fascia.

Door Handles
Friends, I am having trouble with both door handles on Federico (9129). During installation during restoration and, I think, during previous maintenance activity, the outside fascia became bent at the front and rear ends: 9129 Left Door Handle 1, 6-30-14.JPG My questions: 1. How can this be repaired...

Re: Electrical Panel
Tifosi, Thanks for the responses. From 330GT.com, the 330GT went to a 8-8 (16) fuse electrical panel with 8279 (March 1966), about 7 months before 9129. If the panel was replaced at some time, why would the repair facility not use a presumably more available 8-8 panel for a simple swap-out and also ...

Rear Seat Configuration
Greetings, Can anyone explain the differences between Lowell Brown’s (8855) red, presumably original, rear seat and my black rear seat (9129). The condition of the leather of 9129’s rear seat, when I received the car in 2002, would have been consistent with a 35 year-old car. 8855 Rear Seat A, 4-23-...

Electrical Panel
330 Fans: A question has come up. My car, 9129, has an electrical panel that has two six-fuse blocks and appears normal. The electrical panels of Lowell Brown’s 8855 and Kerry Chesbro’s 8755 each have two EIGHT-fuse blocks and also appear correct. All three cars presumably function correctly. One di...

Federico Is Nearly Done!
Tifosi, 9129 is painted, mostly reassembled, running and will be heading to the upholsterer soon, probably this month. (yippee!!) I am gathering the little bits to finish the car. One of them is the hood pad. I bought one, but it is made of a silver vinyl (mylar?) and doesn’t look right. The ones I’...

Re: Castle Nuts
John, My sources say to torque the nut to the proper amount then just enough further to line up the hole and slot. They also say castellated nuts are for low torque applications. My thought is to stop at 90 or 95%, check it then tighten just to alignment. The best torque is a compromise between wher...

Re: 330 Salvage Yard
Michael, Not a problem. Actually I've had good luck with Fred. In fact, I had such good experience in buying parts from him for my 308, that I bought 9129 from pictures on his website without actually physically seeing the car and it was as advertised. Tom Shaughnessy is, well, Tom Shaughnessy. Seri...

Re: 330 Salvage Yard
Michael,
I've been to both several times. In fact, I bought 9129 from Fred. The problem is neither has the parts I need.

330 Salvage Yard
Fabulous Fellow Ferrari Friends,
Does anyone know of one or more 330s being salvaged, besides Fred Petroske and Tom Shaughnessy? I need the hood safety catch, the hood pad retainer bows, the hood torsion springs and maybe some other parts. Thanks in advance for any help.

… and humor, too!! My two choices were 0.078 x 0.588 x 5-3/8 straight and similar width and thickness x 6-3/4 bent. I agree with the accidental-bend possibility since the apparent strength of the bags seems to be just adequate to meet the load imposed and no more. The steel in the strap is not exact...

Re: Tool Bag Handle
But Dyke, the whole concours thing is OCD, anyway, so why not go the whole route? After all, it only cost me a few minutes of my time to ask my question and secure some answers, however marginal. It could be said that my respondents are a bit anal for responding or even knowing such minutiae, but, o...
