Indeed, my three stalk column switch assembly rebuilt by Simpson last year is working well. As I said then, the service was excellent and the rebuild high quality, including new plastic fabrications, using modern materials, and stainless steel for the stalks, plus new wiring.

Well, here's the problem with the DB9 weather seal: It is not a solid piece of rubber. It is a thin-walled hollow tube, akin to an inner tube, with a diameter of about one inch. The design is such that the door closes on the hollow tube, compressing the interior space to some degree. The tube has at...

Torn rubber door weather seal
Hello everyone, Normally, I chat about things relevant to my 330 GTS, but I have a question about a modern car: The weather seal about the passenger door of my 2006 Aston DB9 is cut next to the seat (that is, on top of the sill). I suspect a car wash jockey with his industrial vacuum did the damage....

I have Metropolitan, Agreed Value, 2,500 miles/yr, no stipulation on driving situations other than not a daily driver. I need a garage (no more), and another car as daily driver. To raise my Agreed value by $240K required a professional appraisal ($300), which I helped with by providing comps. Total...

Indeed, I have Historical Plates, which only allow operation to and from meetings, shows and such events. BUT, talking to many fellow Ferrari owners at shows with CA Historical Plates, not a one was concerned about operating their cars for any purpose, nor had anyone been questioned by the policia. ...

Tom, Yup, it's pushed down at least an inch and I can't pull it back up, as it's caught in the rubber tube that surrounds it. I was hesitant to pull too hard and either destroy the brass contact disc, or mutilate the soft rubber insulator. Benjamin, The cost was $998. This was a thorough rebuild, in...
