4247 GT was put on the truck heading for Palm Beach last night. If you are attending, be sure to come over and say hi!

Re: Source for trunk lock

BobA loaned me the lock from his car and it works great. Also, Cornelis alerted me to a lock on Italy's ebay that I picked up. It won't be here in time for Cavallino, but it will be great when Bob want his back! Thanks guys.

Re: Source for trunk lock

I am looking for the piece on the left in this photo. After re-chroming the button is sticking in the exterior piece and sanding has not helped any. The lock itself is not a problem, but the button is.

Source for trunk lock

I am looking for a trunk lock button. Mine got screwed up in Chroming. GTO Engineering has the whole setup for $650. Did Fiat use the same one?

Who is going to Cavallino?

We are scrambling to get 4247 GT on the lawn this January. As it is a featured model for the GTE's 60th birthday, I figure we should make a good turn out. I am not going to get it judged as I know you guys will point out what needs to be done for free!

No problem Ron. $30 plus shipping, which I will look up. Fortunately shipping within the US is much faster and cheaper than shipping overseas!

GTE 60th Anniversary Road Trip!

I wanted to make sure that you were all aware of the road trip that David Wheeler (GTE Newsletter) is organizing for next May. To date we have 22 cars, all GTEs or friends of GTEs, taking a five day trip from Radcliffe Motors in Rierstown Maryland, through a lot of scenic countryside and ending up a...

Re: Mystery Electrical Parts

I have found two emergency/accessory lights that work, are from the right era and being metal seems more appropriate for our car than plastic. I prefer the one at the top of the first photo because it is made by Altissimo, just like our taillights. These things must have been pretty common, as Ferra...

Re: radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?

The explanation does not make sense to me. The blind has a variable adjustment, so if one did not need full coverage, don't put it all the way up! If the factory was truly worried about hot climates, they would not have installed the blind in the first place, or as has happened with a lot of our car...
