Re: CLAMPS

Tom, quick note on gun bluing, being a tournament Skeet Shooter for the last 25 years and a having a few premium grade shotguns, I can tell you bluing won't hold up under the hood of a car. Take a look at Restoration Supply Company, they sell a black oxide kit that appears to be pretty easy to use a...

Re: The 2009 Radcliffe Motorcar/ Tomyang.net Spring Event

Hi everyone, here's the latest on the show. The first tech session, which is the Megiuars Detailing demonstration, will start at 10am. If there is rain in the morning we may push back the first tech session until more people arrive. I now have 65 cars registered, I even have a 1929 Isotta Fraschini ...

Tom, check out the Daytona Registry, they have a section on authenticity that's pretty good and it shows those clamps.

Re: BAAAD News!

Tom, after repairing cars for the last thirty five years I can tell shit happens and then shit happens again!! Anybody who has repaired cars for a living and says they have never made a mistake is full of it!! There's always pressure to get something done on time, there's always interruptions, and s...

Re: The 2009 Radcliffe Motorcar/ Tomyang.net Spring Event

Hi everyone, my biggest worry is the amount of cars and people showing, which is a good thing. The first tech session should start at about 10am. I'm planning on cars arriving by 9am, I will have coffee and donuts here. Pray for nice weather!!!!!! See you all here. Richard Garre Radcliffe Motorcar C...

Re: Battery

Zac, I've used Antique Auto Batteries for a couple of years now with great results. The embossed rubber stickers sound like a good idea and yes an embossed SAFA sticker would be excellent.

Re: Battery

I've looked into to the time line of tar topped batteries in the past, it appears that Delco chanaged from tar topped to hard rubber sealed and cased batteries in 1967. That was the first Delco Energizer, as far as I can tell that's when everyone else switched. No one was rebuilding batteries by the...

Re: Coolant in oil?

David, before you replace anything, do some diagnosis, pressure test the cooling system and see if the pressure drops off quickly, if you can remove the timing chain cover on the left just above the water pump, as you pressure test the system see if there is any evidence of coolant leaks behind the ...

Re: Michelspin

From the information I have the original tire size was a 205/70 15. 215s will fit without any problem. I am fitting a set 205s Vredesteins to a Quenn mom but only for show purposes. I will tell one of my customers has an early 308 GTB and runs track event with the Vredesteins with good results. Rich...

Graham, outside of the Classiche Program contact Marcel Massini, marcel@massini.cc. Marcel probably has the most information on individual cars other than factory.

Kerry, I've used their gaskets on a few vintage Alfas with great results for what it's worth.

Re: Fat Steering Wheel

Tom, here goes! I have both a very original Nardi wheel on my 330 GT and I also have a 365 2+2 in the shop. On my 330 there are no Nardi stamps visible on any of the spokes, there may be one underneath the hub. On the 365, there's a MOMO marking on the back who was or still is the Nardi Distrbutor i...
