Re: Carb sync tool for Weber 36 DCS

I have an identical Motometer that I used on my 330 w/40DCZ carbs. I simply used a short piece of appropriate diameter radiator hose to seal against the carb and set the tool on the top.

Re: gas gauge sending unit 330 GT 2+2

John thanks for all of your help. I can’t see anything visually that might be wrong-no broken wires etc. An estimate to repair was somewhere between $200 and $400. I’m checking around for a replacement now, but unless theses units were used in a Fiat I’m not hopeful on a better replacement price. I...

PF Coupe/Cab? Dash Drawing

RM is auctioning off a owners pouch and manuals for a PF Coupe. The front has S/N 1781 written on it. Anyway, one of the pictures in the auction is a drawing of the dash layout with the controls numbered and descriptions in both Italian and English. DashLayout.jpg With some editing, here is a better...

Re: gas gauge sending unit 330 GT 2+2

I cant say about the 2+2, but I had the same issue with the GTC. My sender simply had a poor connection to ground. The gtc has fiberglass covered gas tanks so there is a dedicated ground wire that is oddly run to the tail light housing for ground. I cleaned and tightened the connection and all is w...

Re: rebuilding ignition switch

If it's already failing, why not look for the correct steering wheel locking ignition switch? IgnitionColumnLock%20(2)[1].jpg If you do want to repair this one, you could use silver solder to build up that contact point. Silver solder has a high silver content, so much harder and requires a higher h...

Re: Oil flow path

The Merritt book is where Dick reprinted 6 early owner's manuals. This page is from one with an inside plug 250 engine.

Veglia clock repair

Well, I can no longer recommend Mike Eck to repair a clock. In December 2019, I sent two 330GT Veglia clocks to him, mine for a new board as a bad voltage regulator broke it and one for another 330 GT owner. The one being sent back to me got lost by the post office. Mike only insured it for $250 and...

Re: 330 SII fuel tank

The metal where that pad is sitting will bend unless the pad or 2x4 is large enough to go across to each side.

I use the stubs that stick out of the chassis a little farther forward.

Carlo Durante passed on last night.

Carlo was the mechanic in the Seattle area for working on the old V-12s. I will miss him.

Carlo owned a GTE that TomY helped pass onto a new owner. See http://tomyang.net/blog/2011/04/01/a-new-survivor-car

Re: 330 SII fuel tank

... Don't forget to disconnect the fuel tank sender at the top of the tank. There is an access panel below the rear window under the upholstered panel. Try to mark the two wires before you disconnect them... Tom I've been able to disconnect and reconnect those wires from the access panel in the tru...

Re: 330 SII fuel tank

The car has to be very high in the air as the tank is quite tall. I have done it on jack stands, but it's not easy. You also have to move or remove some of the rear exhaust as it is under the tank. The other thing is when you are removing the banjo bolt pickup at the side, grab the part on the tank ...

Re: removing chrome trim rings on Daytona

How do you remove the center chrome trim piece from a Cromodora Mag? Thanx steve I made a tool that worked well. P1020030_small[1].JPG Start by inserting putty knives and prying up enough to start the tool. P1020032_small[1].JPG The just go around prying up slowly until off. Takes about 90 seconds ...

Re: Source for trunk lock

Tom, is it really that far gone? I remember I had a hard time finding a locksmith in town that was willing to take my driver door and trunk buttons apart, so I could ship them off for plating. When I did find a guy that was willing to do it, I stood there and watched him take it apart and wondered ...

Re: Gauge lighting

Great work Kerry (as always). Agree with Tom that it would be amazing to see how 3000K or 2700K look, if they exist. Having the right color temp is everything with LED's. Once you get out of standard hi-volume LEDs, the range of temperatures available diminish to one or two. There is not enough mar...
