I agree, that is not a 117. My thought is that a later type of font was used
on that third digit. Maybe a replacement for a worn original. It is thicker
in size as well.

Kerry Chesbro got me hooked on using pneumatic tool oil
for the compressor, which works really well. I use it on many
other things now as well.

I have heard the same comment about the stainless systems.
I have also read that it is a waste of time to set the carbs
on a Ferrari if the exhaust system is not in proper order.
