Most Ferraris from this era have secondary emergency release cables in case the primary ones fail. It is a VERY good idea to find them and verify that they work BEFORE you need them.

Seeing Tom's great cars at Meadowbrook, and meeting him face to face for a second time was great. There are a LOT of good vintage Ferraris that are able to be driven and shown that owe a lot to Tom's business of supplying the many parts made of unobtanium. For most of us who do not have unlimited ba...

Cars deteriorate when they just sit in a garage. It is important to drive cars regularly, for all sorts of valid mechanical reasons. If you keep your car properly insured, and a tragedy happens, you will get paid enough to replace the car. So, unless you want your car to be a 99 point trailer queen ...

What a magnificent project, done with such careful attention to detail. The car -- and the unique owner's story -- will delight a lot of people in the Ferrari world.

I'll be there to spectate and at least two other FOC members are coming that I know of. William's GTE is quite spectacular, I saw it last year on a drive in Fort Wayne. I am aure the cars from Tom S. will also be well worth the price of admission.

Thin strips of durable cloth or shoe laces coated with polish do pretty well, but it takes 5+ hours per wheel for the first cleaning after a long period of just washing the outsides. If you then clean them maybe twice a year, the time frame is reasonable. For the rims, I bought one of the Mothers fo...

We entered the "competitive" form of the rallye -it is fun to look for the clues. If you have a passenger, I recommend you make that change. Except for 98+ point cars that are never driven, EVERY classic car is a work in progress. We love to drive our car, so it will never be a 98+ point trailer que...

I just sent in my entry fee for FCA2008. We are staying privately in the home of one of our travel club members in King City, about 6 miles north of the golf course where the Concours will be held. At $20/night, that bargain is hard to pass up - and they will give us the garage at night. Tom, Tom, M...
