Re: A License Plate Question for our Dutch Friends
White background, red letters since 1928. 1962 would be two letters, three numbers (which is what I need).Rudy van Daalen Wetters wrote:John,
Are the colors for Belgium plates, red with silver letters?

Thanks

Re: A License Plate Question for our Dutch Friends
And not to hijack this thread, but if anyone has a source for Belgian plates from the the early 1960s please let me know. I'd like a set for my GTE (originally registered in Ghent).
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: A License Plate Question for our Dutch Friends
If you do get Italian plates from licenseplates.tv, the embossed symbol is a sticker, not painted. One wash and it's off.

Looks like your Directv dish survived, nothing worse than being stuck in the house with no TV!

Re: Still looking for 250GT/E 4959
Was in the neighborhood and thought I would stop by and wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and see if any info had surfaced on 4959. Also wanted to do some name dropping; maybe this topic has already come and gone, but I sent this note to Wayne Carini, F40 Motorsports and late of "Chasing Classic...

Re: Pininfarina Flags
The period GTE shots I have show white flags.
I think the modern cars have the blue flags (355, 456, 550) on the ashtrays. I have one with a current Ferrari box and part number 64460400.

Re: Coupe Rear Suspension and Phillips Head Screws
Tom - the photo below comes from the GTE Owners Manual and it looks like the catch and the plate behind it are black. What do you think? The GTE Manual's a good source for some things, but changes did come after the feature car (s/n 2339) was built in 1960. Some things, like the wrinkle paint over ...
