Re: Photos needed of series 2 headlight surround

Excellent, that was exactly what I needed. Off to the platers. Thanks again Zac.

Regards,

Andrew.

Re: Photos needed of series 2 headlight surround

Thanks Zac, a few angles and dimentions would be great, we can see on the back of the ring where they are supposed to be, but both sides are missing. Body man needs them back from the chrome guy to fit prior to final primer. Corneilus, the photo is a bucket, I am looking for the detail on the chrome...

Re: Photos needed of series 2 headlight surround

Hi, anyone have a photo of what the "rectangular tab" at the top of the Series II trim rings looks like?
Please post if possible.

Regards,

Andrew.

Re: Painting "the car"

Hi Guy's, Thanks for all the input, and I’ve taken onboard the comments from all’yall. A couple of things have come to light in conversations with the painter; one of the problems with my car specifically is how long certain panels have been in primer. There is no UV protection in the primer, so if ...

Re: Painting "the car"

Sounds pretty logical Kerry. They are talking about epoxy priming the whole car, so it would be in all the nooks and cranny's, but as you correctly pointed out, getting in to those places and making the primer stick would be alot of work - assuming it was to be done right. What did you think would b...

Painting "the car"

So, many of you will know that my GTE has been in bits for years at a paint shop. I finally spat the dummy about a month ago, collected the car and moved it to a new shop. SO, now there is questions about what was done - and how - and of course the new guy's are wanting to rip off all the primer and...

Re: New Owner - GTE #4533

Congratulations, looks like a nice complete car. I got the original color combinations by writing to Ferrari NA, who then asked the factory. Might still work. Now-a-days you can log onto the factory web site and submit the details of your car and at least get the color combinations but some others o...

It is not my intent to anger the Ferrari Gods but has anyone seen or had any experience with a custom setup from a good shop like the hot rod guys do . Stainless pipes and Flowmaster or similar mufflers. For someone not concerned about originality it might be an option. Please dont tar and feather ...

Re: exhaust system

3835 had an abarth system originally - but a new one of those could not be had for love or Money - as Kerry points out. 3835 is a GTE. I got my Ansa system from Steve Tillack - call him in Redondo as he may still have some bits sitting about. Pricing at the time was the same as Stebro so it was a no...

Re: 20 mph in 4th gear?

Even grandma, 3835, could do it. I had never read this, as in floor it in 4th at 20mph, but after Tom Meaddows played with the carbs he demonstrated it. The other neat trick with a well tuned V12 is stand a quarter, on edge, on the air cleaner, rev her up, and the quarter will spin on axis and not f...
