Re: My GTC died on the freeway...argghhhh!

However, I'm still bothered by the fact that the mechanical fuel pump did not appear to function properly and save my sorry tuchus. This morning, with the e-pump off, the car started and ran on the mechanical pump. I could also demonstrate good accelerator pump shots. These findings occurred with t...

Re: Metal dash color

Thanks for the information but I actually had some lifting in areas and we needed to sand it down a bit . Luckily they finished the front and the back of the wood so we have an excellent sample of the original finish. I am still working on it so I can post a photo when it is done . Rob Sounds good....

Re: 2019 GTC4 Lusso vs 1966 330 GT video

They talk about 2nd gear on the 330 GT being difficult in the video. It should only take about 10 minutes of warmup for 2nd to work fine in my experience. It's kind of crazy that Ferrari never fixed that from the 60's through the late 90's (when they had to for sequential F1 to work). There's a Brad...

2019 GTC4 Lusso vs 1966 330 GT video

My brother sent me this video comparing a 2019 GTC4 Lusso and a 1966 330 GT. It's a pretty great video in my opinion. I'm sure some of you have seen it already, but it's worth a watch if you haven't:

Re: 330 GT 2+2 Alloy Wheel Offset, Painted Sills?

Here is another photo of 11393 when it was red in 1994. From this angle, it is pretty clear that you were correct that the wheel dish is much shallower than typical. This may be because this one-off was built actually based upon the 365 GT chassis, versus just a 330 with a 365 engine. https://www.fe...

Re: 330 GT 2+2 Alloy Wheel Offset, Painted Sills?

Wheel offset- These wheels appear to have much less dish than every other alloy wheel. Was there more than one alloy wheel specification offered for this car? They do look very shallow dished in the photo, but I think it might be an optical illusion -- when I look closely with reading glasses on, i...

Re: Ceramic fuses

On my 330 GTC, the fuse "boxes" have covers that show the fuse amperage and all connections. Thanks for the info. There are no amperage markings on the 330 GT fuse covers, just labels (in Italian on mine). Thanks for the photo of ceramic fuse. I think I may have some based upon the ceramic having b...

Re: Metal dash color

I will remove the trimming on the wood dash today and I may leave it with a furniture re finisher, it can't be too expensive to have a professional prep and stain it. He will also have many samples of stain to pick from. Unless the very early series 1 dash differs from the rest of production, it sh...

Re: Ceramic fuses

Where do folks source actual ceramic fuses? My fuse block takes 8amp (easy to find), 15amp (16amp easy to find) and 30 and 50amp fuses. Lots of Chinese plastic versions available, but I am looking for bullet/torpedo style ceramic fuses for my 330GTC. I was able to get some ceramic spares from my lo...

Tom Shaughnessy used to sell quality tool bags. I had email dialog with him recently, so he's still around, but have no idea if he's still selling them.

Re: Cerium oxide for windshield clarity?

I used this on a Daytona windshield 10 to 15 years ago. The wiper had made a scratch on the front windshield from the steel holder contacting it. They were not deep. The general rule of thumb was that if you run your fingernails over them and it does not snag it can help. It took a long time. It ma...

Cerium oxide for windshield clarity?

I have been reading a lot about Cerium Oxide (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083778RJX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1YLSW7UF6UU3X&psc=1) polish for removal of windshield scratches and improve clarity. I don't have any major scratches and am not worried about any tiny pits on the 330, but I do fee...
