Re: Coil oil fill-up
Hello John, thank you for this information. I only thought about the heat transfer, but you are right of course, the lifespan of the paper is affected by the oil. I have organized mineral transformer oil Nytro T 4000X. The question is if the mixing with the old oil inside of the coil will have any ne...

Coil oil fill-up
I have the red Magneti Marelli 12V BZR 201A coils in my 250 GTE and one of these seems to miss oil. I want to fill-up and have two questions: a) which oil shall I use and b) to what level shall I fill-up? I read that these coils might have been filled with PCB which due to its toxic attitude is not ...

hose question
Does anybody know whether such type of black ribbed hose was ever used by the factory for a 250 engine? My assumption is that this was retrofitted throughout the centuries and is not original. The clamps used when I bought the car were not Cheneys which would underline this assumption, but I am not ...

Re: Problems with seals for front and rear screens
i organised a piece of this seal from Cicognani to provide a sectional view. It is definitely the make of the rubber seal that prevents a proper fit. I modified the pic a little to give better visibility - the trim does not hook into the rubber deep enough. Does anybody have a recommendation for a s...

Crepaldi dealer sticker
My car was sold through the Italian dealer Crepaldi to the first owner. I will reproduce the dealer sticker to attach it to the rear screen as shown in the picture. Does anybody have a better pic from this sticker to reproduce the correct typing? I reproduced several decals/stamps for the GTE in the...

Battery frame
The top frame to hold the battery down is missing in my car. The bottom frame seems original and indicates to welcome the correct group 27 size battery (see pics). As to what I learned from older threads in this forum the top frame is of other/smaller dimensions than the bottom frame. Can anybody ad...

Ptoblems with seals for front and rear screens
I have problems with the fit of the rubber seals for the front and rear screens. The rubber is not shaped correctly so that there is a gap between the chrome trim and the seal. The chrome trim is in correct shape, it is definitely the rubber that caises the problem. I bought the seals from Cicognani...

Re: Rear axle drop stop
I received the replacement rope with 5mm and it is too thick. Seems that the original zinc plated metal rope for the drop stop of the rear axle is of dimension 4,5 mm 7x19 and not 5mm as described initially.

Re: 250 GTE Windshield Washer "Pump"
If you are willing to accept a little different way to mount the pump you might use the one from Lada 2103 or Polski Fiat. Google this:
Ablakmosó pumpa Lada 2103, polski fiat 125p

Tips & Tricks for the paintjob
The body of my GTE will soon be ready for the paint job. I have read a lot here in the forum but do not want to miss out asking you for tips & tricks what to take care of when painting the car. This question is about both, body color and black satin finish for the engine bay. Any experience and know...
