Jon, The trim is shaped like a T, with a tiny 'J' curl on the bottom end to help it catch the rubber and hold it in. I easily pulled mine out once a corner was carefully pried up. They are thin and flimsey, but if worked out so they are kept reasonably straight, keep their original shape. Fingers only worked for me.

Now I can't get the trim above the windows to budge - anyone with suggestions on that? I am assuming there is more of that tacky dumb dumb holding it on.

Hi Jon,

Yes. Mine had some black material between the rubber seal and the steel body. By now that material is hard and brittle, but I 'd imagine when the factory applied it, it was pasty.

Have you tried running a cord?
