I think we've proven again, there is nothing "set in stone" in the details on these cars.

not to add fuel to the fire but I am fairly certain that the door caps and dash could be painted body color or black depending on owner preference . here is 1891GT a PF cab but I think it falls in the same window.

Zac, thanks for posting those pics.
But I 'am not so easy to convince.
Old pictures are absolut the right way to proof most of the unknown things.
However the inside door picture show clearly an blue or black paint before it was resprayed cobalt or brown met.
no evidence......for me.
