365 2+2 help

Post by zac »

just received the remaider of the chrome back and can not for the life of me remember exactly where the front bumper bracket shields are mounted. they are the small chrome trim pieces that mount to the nose over the turn signal housing and possibly the bumper bracket? a picture or just informed opinion would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Zac

Hi Zac:

As I recall, the trim pieces that I think you are referring to are between the body and the bumper/turn signal assembly. That being said; the chrome trim mounts to the body work with a couple of sheet metal screws.
There should also be a piece of rubber trim at the leading edge of the chrome piece to hold it back from scratching the painted surface.

These chrome pieces should go onto the body work prior to the bumper/turn signal assembly.

If this explanation fails to satisfy, let me know and I can send a digi-pic.

thanks Mark

I know about where they go my problem is whether they go over the hole the turn signal housing or both the bumper bracket extension tube and the turn signal housing. My painter did such a good job I can't seem to locate the original hole to use as a reference. I could really use a couple of pics if anyone would be so kind.

Hi Steve,

It's not too hard, but that's all relative. There is a thread that talks about positng pictures. Read it, and see if any of it makes any sense.

I would post pictures for people if more than one person could benifit from it, but it can become too much work for me to do all of them.

Hi Zac:

I looked at my car today. The trim piece covers both the bumper support and the turn signal assembly. Let me know if you need a photo.
