Monterey 2005

Post by 330GT »

I just made my reservations for August. I'm flying this year so I'll be Ferrari-less.

Tom, are you going? Having a party again?

Who else is planning on going?

Hi Kerry,

Yup, I'll be there! Shaughnessy is reserving the same place in the Mariposa for the party Thursday night. I'll be arriving on Wednesday so if anyone wants to get together Wednesday night for dinnner, I'm game!

i am on the fence after last year's traffic (the year it was gonna get fixed). I do not have a hotel, but I could drive down early Thursday, attend the concorso (just signed up), drop by the party and then head back once the after work traffic clears....

Now....where is my invitation to Quail, the gathering?

Hey Tom,
I'm also coming in Wednesday so I can help on the PB rally on Thursday. So let's get together for dinner.

Yep, I'll be there with the GTC again... Had fun last year! Should we do the Indian place again?

Hope to see all the usual faces at the annual Tomyang.net get together, along with some new ones. Do you think nametags would be too tacky?

Mark your calender for August 18th with a start at about 5pm til about 10pm. I'll confirm times as we get closer!

Anyone know if Shaughnessy is bringing his sister to the party?

The rooms get booked pretty quickly. If worse comes to worse, you'll have to book a room in Salinas, and drive a little further. As we get closer, some of the clubs that book up blocks of rooms cancel what they won't need. Hopefully someone on this forum will let us know if theyhear of any.

I got my flight/hotel/rental car through Expedia.com. The total package was less than what the hotel (El Adobe) wanted for the five nights through their website. And the flight is into Monterey, so no driving from San Jose!

The El Adobe is a basic motel, clean and well located in Monterey and last I knew still had rooms available. I stayed there last year and was satisfied with the accommodations.

Huh? Didn't you just get married last month?

Is she cute? :-)

I plan to be there - where do people stay?

Just an x-ref to a discussion on another board. As far as hotels go, I'm in Marina this year. I advise you book early (as in "now"). Most places will have 4 night minimums.
