does the idle change if you remove the #8 plug wire?
I would guess that from just seeing the numbers that you are probably running on 11 1/2 cylinders.
Are you purchasing the car or is this a car you allready own?
My best advise on this one would be to find a shop well reccomended and compitant and trust the advise they give you on this matter.
These results are exactly why you have compression and leakdown test done, to detect and prvent major mechanicle failures before they happen. Unfortunately the news can't always be good and it is best to listen to what your car is telling you.

Cylinders 3 and 5 are not that good but may be able to live with them. Cylinder 8 has one of the following problems, leaking head gasket, bad pistons rings and / or damaged valve. When the leakage test is being done if you can hear a hissing noise in the exhaust, the exhaust valve is bad. If you hear hissing in the carb the intake valve is bad. If you hear the noise in the oil cap then the rings are bad. If none of these work remove the radiator cap, if the water level raises after a few minutes the head gasket is shot. Any way you look at it the engine is going to need some major work.

is that why i've seen stethocopes in tool chests? to listen for the location of the leaking air? i would guess not that subtle of a hiss but then again i've never seen a leak down test.
Is the car run frequently? If not, then a possible cheap alternative to a valve job is to throw a can of Sea Foam in the gas tank, and another in the sump. Drive for 400 miles and re-test. Your numbers may improve slightly, and you'll have a fun time doing it.
As it is now, I'd agree with previous posts that you're buying an 11 1/2 cylinder Ferrari, which may need work in short order. Nothing wrong with that - I've got an 11 cylinder Ferrari myself - it ran fine until recently, when it started smoking like crazy.
