For those who can't sleep, and catch Letterman, watch tonight's (Wednesday's) show after the monologue.

Tommy, Tommy Yang....

Auto upholsterer huh? Just as good an occupation as any I guess! Should have claimed Ferrari restoration specialist…
Funny stuff!

Nicely done! Bit of a Frank tribute there, eh? :)

There was this auto upholsterer named Tommy Yang in the audience but I don't think he was the same guy that has the Ferrari board....funny coincidence.

Hi Guys,

I got so much crap from the crew for forgetting my name! I was actually going to use another name, but got thrown by Dave messing with the other staffers. It's pretty damn hard to do that kind of stuff!

O.K. here's the clip. Bear in mind, I was VERY nervous! This performing in front of millions of people ain't easy. Especially when your boss tries to screw you up!

Enjoy it at my expense! At least I made enough money to pay for some of my trip to Monterey!

TommyTommy:

That was absolutely hilarious! How much of the banter between you was scripted? IOW, was Dave's comment about your job as an "auto upholster" explaining your shirt an ad lib or scripted? If an ad lib, it was briliant.

Way to go!

That's the hard part. Except for my question, which Dave didn't let me ask according to the script, it's all ad-lib. We try to make up a character, but it's Dave's job to mess us up! I'm not as good at it as the other staffers!

That was great!

Tom, you looked calmer and cooler earlier, when you dismissed Letterman as "a moron" in front of milllions of people!
