Hose Clamps and Terminal Insulators Research

Post by ricar116 »

Deep into the ground up resto on a 74' 365 GT4/2+2.
Have been looking for a supplier of terminal insulators....WOW. For hot wires ie starter, alternator, ammeter... What a task. If anyone has a good supplier let me know. I found a US distributor for a UK Company.http://www.stellmar.com/ Havent't purchased yet but they claim low volume orders shipped same day.

Hose clamps Best product that I have found is swedish AWAB. Actually found them at the Miami boat show. I think this is the original brand on my 74' 365 GT/4 2+2. http://www.awabllc.com/ They are not the Cheney for you early original concours guys, but the fine pitch allows for a screw with less back drive or one that won't loosen on it's own as easily. The 316 stainless are the bomb and are available thru McMaster Carr......no relation or connection.

I know there is always the originality vs function debate, but they appear to be good (safety) products. I have had the pleasure of using a significant amount information from this site. Hope someone can use this information.
