Took me a long time but here is supporting info:
1963 ATS 2500GT
Two of Ferrari's leading engineers, Chiti and Bizzarini, were eager to build Italy's first mid-engined sports car, but Mr. Ferrari would have none of it. For this reason, and some other disenchantments, these two and a few others struck out on their own to form ATS, or Automobili Turismo Sport, in 1962. Their first road car, the 2500GT, came out in 1963, with a body design by Scaglione and an all new 2.5-liter DOHC V-8 engine displacing 2467cc and producing 220bhp mated to a 5-speed ZF transaxle. Eight to ten cars were built, some of steel and others with aluminum coachwork for racing. An angry Enzo Ferrari began contacting his suppliers and threatening to pull his business if they sold parts to ATS, and shortly thereafter the ATS endeavor failed.

Pete is right. It is an ATS, a car and company with a brief and interesting history. They were also fielding a formula one car that Rodriguez was killed in at Mexico while practising for the Grand Prix. His death was the final nail in the coffin for the company.

Phil Hill left Ferrari to drive for ATS for the 1963 season.
