330 GT headlight rings

A good friend of mine has 330 GT s/n 7761, a stunning car. A few weeks ago he was driving along the freeway here and his headlight trim ring just up and flew off. Stunned, he retraced his entire route, yet had no
luck in recovering the missing ring. He has had a difficult time trying to get a replacement and has asked me if anyone knew of a good source to find another headlight trim ring.

Has anyone else had this problem with the trim ring and does anyone know of where a potential source for a new one may be?

I have been told that the 330 GTC headlight trim ring is the same as a Fiat 124. I don't know whether or not this is true but there might be a way to compare part numbers. there may be a similar cross-application with the 2+2's. A lot of this kind of trim appeared on more than one type of car.

I still need a trim ring for the passenger side of my 250 GTE (third gen). The PO put a screw into it to hold it better....
