O rings get sandwitched between the intake mainfold and the cylinder head to brovide sealing.
Question: How tight are the hold-down nuts supposed to be? Do you sinch them down all the way till you can't turn the nuts anymore, or do you tighten them to a certain point?
Thanks,
john

Hi John,
I'm sure there is a torque spec, but since these manifolds are on the vaccum side of the engine, there is a lot less to worry about. I know whenever I've asked Francois how tight I need to make something like this, he always responds, "tight enough!"
Common sense would tell me to cinch these nuts down just enough to squish the o-rings.
