Glove box light...?

Post by kare »

I don't have a clue how it really works, but I am trying to attach a picture here. This is what remains of my glove box light - or what I believe to be remains of it. Can anyone tell what kind of light am I looking for?

Kere - Here are front and rear shots of my Glove Box Light (without bulb and wires). I do not have a cover and it doesn't look like there ever was one. If anybody thinks there should be some sort of cover, let us know.

Thanks a million! I think finding replacement for the missing piece will take another 50 cents out of my restoration budget!

True! The light bulb will probably cost you more than the fixture...

I expect to pay 10 cents for a bulb as soon as I run out of stock... I once bought some as I believed my VW used them on register plate illumination. To my great surprice it didn't. It is a good thing I kept them though; I now have two cars that use them in all possible places!

Best wishes, Kare

Kere - Did you locate a replacement glovebox lamp holder? If not, I have a very good used one if you need it, and 2 NOS. Tom - Mine look exactly like yours, and there is not a cover.
