Italian registration research

Post by M.Plechaty »

Has anyone researched the chronology of their vehicle's registration in Europe, either in person or by hiring a local researcher? I recently have been able to trace the registration of my GTE back to Palermo registration number PA 220679 dated July 5, 1968. I need to access archives in Palermo to help fill in the space between the date-of-manufacture of May 2, 1961 and July 5, 1968.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I sent a message to the Alfa archivist asking for info on her Ferrari counterpart, but I did not get his e-mail address. If you end up following up and writing a note ( I did not) , ask him for any info on #4823 while he is digging up yours....
One of these days, I will also resubmit for my Certificate of Authenticiy. I just now got my tranny number when everything was apart, so I will send again.

Thank you for the info. Can you forward the e-mail and contact info for
the Ferrari archivist, this being part of the same Fiat parent company?
Thank you in advance,

Luke

Given that you already know the Italian registration number, you may be able to get the ACI PRA documentation through Marcel Massini.

For how I got these papers for my 330 GT, please see:

or if that doesn't work:
