TomYang.net fall 2006 gathering

Post by Art S. »

As the fall gathering is beginning to be discussed in onther threads, I thought I would start a thread dedicated to planning the second annual east coast TomYang.net fall gathering.

Please post suggestions, questions and copmments here.

My first suggestion is that we have it around fall foliage time, like last year.

Regards,

First suggestion. Try it on the West Coast some time. Lots of interest out here. We can even replicate the fall foliage.....

Hi Rudy,

It looks like the tradition is to have a West Coast Tomyang.net party during the Monterey Weekend, and not to leave out the East Coast guys who don't make it out to the left coast, we'll have a second annual East Coast party. Besides, the Northeast "Leaf Peeping" Season is pretty nice.

Hope to see you in Monterey?

Hi Tom,

Yes, your fall season back east sure is something I miss out here. But, come winter time I tend get over it pretty soon!

Anyway, look forward to seeing you and others up in Monterey.

I cannot match Michael's venue, but I would be happy to offer my house on the east side of Providence for this years gathering.

Has a date been picked yet?

For us West Coasters, it's not too early to get plane reservations. After the last couple of days, I might have to be at the airport a week early to get through security.

I would expect the latest plot should cause ticket prices to drop a bit though. Make the gathering late enough so that Francois has time to finish my car!

Hi Kerry,

How about the weekend of the October 21st? There shouldn't be any car shows that late in the year, so if there are no conflicts, lets have it on that Saturday.

Since I'm working at Francois' shop, he may very well put me on all the 2+2 work, so there's a good chance we'll get it done!

Works for me. Now I just need to find a cheap plane fare and see if MichaelG will put me up with me again this year.

See you Thursday in Monterey.
