Close, but no cigar.

It's for punching the holes in the top pie crust for an apple pie.

Well, to not overstate the obvious:

This is an early Series II Fantuzzi bilateral, semi-closed, fenestrated, rigid, atmospheric resonator/equalizer. It was almost always a factory option, but rarley ordered, and thus, extremely esoteric.
