According to the PF parts book, the grills between 4HL and 2HL models is different.

My Series II measures 38.25" long, 6.25" high at the front. Note, the front measurement is on a slant. At the rear it measures 5.5". Measurements are the opening with the grill rubber in place, probably a 1/4" or so smaller for the actual metal part.

In any case, this sounds like a Series I grill (or from another model).

In looking at front pictures of the two models, I think that the grill was narrowed so it would look correct with the bumper overriders that were introduced with the Series II.

so we are one for one....the seller does not know either . . . he thinks it will fit both which we know for sure series one is different than series II.

The 4 HL grill is not as wide due to the extra headlamps - - i believe??

Anyone else?

Kerry, how many vertical slates to you have in your grill?

No, the 4HL grill is wider. I think that they narrowed the 2HL model so the bumper overriders would look right.

Mine does have 13, the same as in the 4HL picture. So that doesn't help figure this out. Perhaps someone with a 4HL car could measure their grill and post the results.

I don't know which grill it is but, I love the comparison between the S1 & S2 that Kerry posted - the face of the S1 is just great! I love it! I like it better than the S2.

I agree with Zac on this. I have a used grill from a 275GTS that I bought from a Ferrari spares dealer many years ago. It is in good shape and I hung it on my garage wall because it looked neat. It looks identical to the grill on ebay.

Well, congrats to blharrod5yg9, whoever you are. Closed at $665.78. My 4HL grill measures 43" across, btw, so I was sure it was for a series 1 330GT 2+2.

You win some, you lose some. At least TomS is too busy restoring cars to bid on ebay anymore, guys like me have a chance for a change.

Cheers, JB

Hi Tom,

Hey, I'm a realist - I know I can't compete with you, although I've managed to win a few wonderful things lately (no lost Ferrari's though - well done!)

Besides, I actually sleep sometimes!

A pleasure as always,
Jon
