cigarette lighter pictures

Post by andrew »

Hi Tom,

Per your query, here are some photos of the cigarette lighter from my 330 America. I'm 99.999% certain it's original to the car, so it appears that the knob from the one on the left in your photo should replace the other one.

Mine is exactly the same; I know since I disassembled and cleaned it yesterday.

CIGARETTE LIGHTERS

SLIGHTLY OFF THE SUBJECT, BUT REPLACEMENT HEATER ELEMENTS FOR THE LIGHTERS IN A 400I CAN BE OBTAINED AT A MERCEDES DEALER; PERHAPS THEY FIT OTHER FERRARI LIGHTERS AS WELL.

Thanks Guys!

The next step is to adapt the correct knob with the heater element. The threaded section to the correct knob is thicker than the element end. I'll have to turn a rod with two thicknesses on each end, and cut threads to work unless I find an element that will work with the correct knob.
