Hi Mike,

I am glad someone gets it. On the Abarth front, I do know about Abarths, my question had to do with Jimmy's ownership. To restate again, look at the cars he owns. All but the Dino very fast and powerful. And then there is an Abarth, probably double bubble and beautiful but with much less power then the others. I just wondered what is the context when he drives this? I always thought about owning an Abarth but at the end of the day I was afraid that it was never going to be a car I could actually drive anywhere. (Though I do know Jim Wickstead drove himself and his wife across country in a Fiat 500 based one!)

Ah the internet, separated from facial expression and across cultural divides we become both closer together and father apart.
Best,
Yale

I certainly did not understand your comments when I read it, so I reread it multiple times. I believe I am a little more enlightened. (I was asking for help w/ my Daytona and I did not understand why I was getting comments regarding my cars and Abarth). I owe you an apology if I have been inflexible. As for the Abarth,...I bought it because it was a "crush" at first sight on the net. Informations sifting followed. It is such a FUN and exciting car that simply watching it gives me a big smile. Even when you're going at 40mph, it is FUN. Previous owner restored it for rally use and it has only 85HP. I wish I can post few pics as requested, but don't know how. (I am a cyber moron also). Thanx again for all the comments and suggestions. Much obliged. Cheers Jimmy

Hi Jimmy.

You might be able to check out the possibility of malfunctioning coil by simply following similar procedures, as I suggested for ignition transistors test, by disconnecting them one at the time before trying to start / run the car and see if there is any change. Daytona will run with one cylinder bank out of commission (at least I've experienced this with U.S. model with one transistor box temporarily lacking electrical input), but it's hard to start and it will not rev up very well (obviously, since it's only running on 6-cylinders).

Thank you Jimmy. Could you, perhaps in another thread, tell us what classic car ownership, driving experience is like in Japan? I have been to Japan and as with many peoples responses to me owning a 1964 Ferarri in the heart of New York City, it raises many questions. Sorry about dropping these questions in your Daytona thread I wasn't sure it connected the dots at the time to start another one on your signature cars. Best, Yale

Thank you, Yale. Although I have spent most of my times in California myself, I did spend few years in Massachusetts and a bit of NYC. Thus, I can understand your comment about driving a classic Ferrari in Manhattan ! WOW ! Meanwhile, I shall see if I can respond to your request in a new thread. Thanx w/Regards Jimmy

Jimmy, Suggest you also contact Bill Badurski over at the Daytona Registry:

http://www.daytonaregistry.com/

he is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to the Daytona.

Hi Jimmy,

re-read the tutorial to post pictures:
http://www.tomyang.net/cars/phpBB2/view ... 2199#12199

It looks like the image you're trying to post is on your computer. You need to upload it to a server connected to the internet. the tutorial uses photbucket.com , but there are plenty of choices.

Good luck, and e-mail me if you still are having problems:
