removing cluth slave cylinder 330 GTC, need some help

Post by Greg Brendel »

I am removing the clutch slave cylinder on '68 330GTC and I can't get the push rod out of the actuating arm. Removed the 2 bolts on the housing and the hydrolic line but the actuating arm is stuck. Any hints? Actuating arm won't move and it doesn't seem to help use the adjusting screw.

Bleeder screw is stripped so taking it off.

You have to remove the two studs that secure the slave cylinder to the clutch housing in order to remove it. You can double-nut them, or use a collet type stud remover to unscrew them.

Thanks Brian- The double nut technique worked. The slave is off now and I was able to get the bleeder screw loose but it will need to be replaced as its stripped. Thanks for the help.
