Anybody going to the Concorso?

Post by Steve Meltzer »

We were planning to go to the Quail, as it was excellent last year, but we got put on the waiting list. So I'm pretty sure we'll be at the Concorso. Anyone else on the list gonna be there? s

Greek food at the Quail. That's the line I'll be in. Highly recommend.
Strategically close to the Shaughnessy Barn Find booth as well.

Yep, the Greek food was great, but that didn't keep me from the other venues, tho' I barely got the caviar and Champagne! I really liked the variety of cars at Quail, but it ain't gonna happen this year. Shaugnessy was right in the thick of it, as expected. s

I knew I fogot to do something!!! With working on Ferraris and posting about my exploits, I forgot to buy tickets to anything! Last year I bought tickets to Quail at the show, but started at Concorso. The only thing I have confirmed is the Ocean Ave Motor Club event on Thursday in Carmel. I hear there is also going to be a Len Miller Memorial party in Carmel on Sat night?

I hear Quail is sold out. I'll be at Concorso this year with my 365GT2+2.

I'll be at Concorso in the morning, and then off to the Quail for lunch. I shoulda' bought extras and scalped them at the door!

Is the Tom Yang party happening? I'm just putting together my schedule, and was hoping to make it this year.

Yes, the party will be happening provided Tom S. get us the space in the Mara Posa. It'll be Thursday night 6-ish till whenever.

I'll post an offical notice when I confirm the details.

There is also a "Friends of the GTE" gathering on Saturday night. It was announced in this month's GTE register newsletter. I believe it is a continuation of Len Miller's party.

Is anybody going to the Quail? I am. Had a blast last year.

Quail!

Post by 67GTC »

I was invited to show the GTC at the Quail this year, so that's where I'll be...

There's a neat little all Ferrari concours at Khakis ( a gentleman's haberdashery) in the Barnyard shopping center at Carmel Valley Road and the 1 hwy. This is from 4-ish till 7 on Saturday. Local wineries and catered noshes, pretty good!.

See you all on Thursday night!

"a gentleman's haberdashery"

You are joking Chuck....

I'll be at the pub. Sammy is coming out as well. Tanagawa-san, the only sane one amongst all of us, might come out to see your car at the underware place - I'll let him know.

See All Y'all at the party of the two toms.

Andrew,

Glad to hear you're coming... I'll arrange to bring a mop and bucket. I didn't think that Sam would pull this off this year based on our conversation two weeks ago. This will be like old times; you all have been warned.

I'll be at the Concorso this year. It will be the first time out for 7137 (even though its not really "done") and it seems the Quail could not make room for me - even after being a participant every year since the first event! I look forward to seeing everyone at Tom's party and throughout the weekend.

Interesting...

I thought that the Quail had a policy similar to Pebble in that cars displayed had to wait a few years before being elegible to be shown again.

I am making a day trip on Friday. I signed up to be a volunteer at Concorso, and I will set off from the house around 4.30am. A free shirt, and not having to pay $100 is worth it, not to mention that I like driving to meet the sunrise. Gotta clear the deposits in that Maserati V8, too. The Ferrari no longer oveheats, but I will leave it at home. I just called Hagerty and upped the agreed value to 145K. Did you guys see that #2 3rd series GTE make $192K in the RM Ferrari auction? That is crazy money, and I might need to upgrade my house now...
