25 years of ownership

Post by 330GT »

Today is the 25th anniversary of when I bought my 330 GT.

For a long time I didn't consider myself as the long-time owner of it, until I realized a few years ago that I had owned it over 1/2 of its lifetime.

I just hope that I will own and enjoy it for the next 25 years. That will make me 85 (my 60th was last Friday) and I'll be quite glad to have good enough health to still be able to drive it (or anything as far as that goes).
Regards, Kerry

Congratulations! I assume you are finding that, like a fine Bordeaux, both have gotten better with age ?!!!!!!!? Good reason for us to have another drink at the Party, a toast to you and the car!

Congratulations, Kerry,
Like you, I'm an old Fart, even older than you - 62. But I've had my 365 GT 2+2 only 22 years. That's a whole 6,000 km. I've walked more than that in 22 years. I, like you, hope that I can continue to enjoy cars (maybe not my Queen, but others) for another 25 years.
Anyway, have a nice 25 years to come.

It got a new radiator hose and 2 gallons of anti-freeze as the hose sprung a leak and pissed some away on Saturday. It was time to change the anti-freeze anyway.

In those 25 years you have also become a walking textbook on the 330GT. Congratulations Kerry.

Dittos on the congratulations. Wonder what the market and the reputation for the cars we love will be when the car is 75 years old ?

Art,

Kerry got his Ferrari when my Fiat 500 was still my daily driver.

I just can't keep up with him!

Congrats Kerry from another old fart.

I've had mine since 1980, but if yours is 25 Years in your posession I bet you bought smarter than I did, if I remember the market bubble/crash sequence.
I doubt that I can do another 25 Years (I will be101) and my kids will have grounded me long ago. Of course, they are the ones who vetoed my thoughts of selling it some time back. Hmm - ulterior motives?
I will say you have spent the time marvelously, with your registry and other help/research. I am ashamed I have not spent as much time on the Ferrari as I should have.

Cheers and See you shortly.
