Microtechnica window switches

Post by Art S. »

There's a damaged Mircotechnica window switch on ebay at the moment. Before I join the bidding war I was wondering if anyone here knows how common these switches are and what other cars they were used on.

Also, who out there has these switches and what is the serial numbers of your cars. My assumption is that these switches were used on power windo series 1 cars and early series 2 cars.

The ones I've seen on 330 GTs (including my car 8755) do not have the "Microtecnica Torino" in the chrome surround. They are plain.

Kerry,

A number of early series 2 cars have the Microtchnica Torino switches. A double switch on the driver's side door paneland a single on the passenger side.

I'm wondering how late and how early (serial number wise) they were used.

So, does the early cars use the bezel as shown in the eBay auction? If so, is there one bezel (with 2 holes) on the driver's side where there are two switches?

Kerry,

That is correct. The one shown must be for the passenger side.

Art - You may be the only one at this moment, but later on many folks will want to know the answer to this question. Thanks for pursuing an answer!

Anyone know if the old switches can be easily rebuilt? If not, know of any source for replacements?
