A big Merlin in-line engine as used in the P-51 Mustang looks remarkably like a super-sized Ferrari V-12.

After sticking my head (and shoulders) into the intake manifold of a Wartsila-Sulzer V-12, life has never returned to be the same again. Can you imagine an exact copy of a Ferrari V-12, sized like house? Best wishes, Kare

There was a show on cable earlier this summer called "Tank Overhaul" that featured a full rebuild on a later M4 Sherman powered by the Ford GAA V-8. I recorded it with the idea of excerpting it on the website for my dad's tank battalion.
