Michael - please call me to discuss your driving/ownership impressions of the Dino Spyder as I'm giving serious consideration to flying to Europe to check out 2 cars and don't want to waste $2,000 and 2 days of my schedule. I think I have a buyer for my Porsche Speedster and that would allow me to pay cash for the Dino Spyder.

Thanks,
Steve

Michael - thanks for the primer you sent me and your great insight -- one more reason why these forums work.

After reading the primer and the potential reliability/rebuild costs I decided to simply keep my '94 Porsche Speedster as my convertible (despite no back seats for the kids) and went another direction with regards to finding an unsung Italian GT car -- I bought a 1969 DeTomaso Mangusta and didn't have to fly to Europe (or deal with shipping/US Customs).

I'll always love the Dino Spyder from afar.

Steve: I did not mean to talk you out of it, I was hoping for company! Still a Mangusta is a terrific car, all the best
