Hi John,

Can you get me a measurement of the spring? Francois has some spring liner, but we'd have to check the width.

He also has the rear shock boots and some other difficult to find parts.

'Poly-Slide':
Channel shaped poly sheets inserts between spring leaves for a permanent smooth ride. Thickness .040” 20 foot roll only.
1-3/4” LUB016 $11.50
Spring Width 2” LUB017 $12.75
2-1/4” LUB018 $15.00

Their website is www.RestorationStuff.com, page 37 of the PDF catalog.

I've never used this, so don't know if the 2" would work or not, but the price is quite reasonable. Most of these places will send a sample if you ask.

Thanks Kerry. The Poly Slide stuff has a "U" shaped cross section. The Ferrari liner has an "I" shaped cross section. It is roughly 2"x0.055". The vintage Vettes and Chevy's use the "I" shaped one as well, though I do not know if the dimensions are the same as the Ferrari's. Will start the search tomorrow.

John - Thanks for the photos! It looks like you are doing an excellent job and paying attention to the details.

How did you restrain the leaf springs when removing so they did not explode all over your garage? I understand that is pretty tricky.

Hi Tom (Wilson). Once the spring is removed from the car the strain is reduced greatly. There is still strain, but it doesn't cut loose as violently as you might think.
